Levels

Disciplinary Options

1

Classroom Level Interventions/consequences
Teachers use one or more of the following interventions to help the students change behavior in the classroom.  Referral to the school administrator is not necessary if interventions are successful.

Appropriate when Level 1 intervention/consequence has been ineffective
Teachers use the following interventions to help the students change behavior in the classroom.   In some cases, referral to the school administrator may be necessary.

Parent/guardian communication required       Parent or guardian accompany student to school                            Confiscation of item                                                     or classes (school rules would apply to adults)
Supervised time-out outside of classroom               Behavior contract

NOTE: The student handbook applies to all school related activities and no discipline policy can specifically address all disciplinary circumstances.  Offenses not listed will be dealt with on an individual basis at the discretion of the principal.  Parents may be contacted at any time during any specific discipline infraction.

Consequences for Students – Some offenses or violations will start at different levels of consequences due to the seriousness of the offense.        ( Automatic Expulsion)
